Job Description
The Sales Account Manager functions as the direct contact with the customer, specifically with OEMs such as Stellantis and Tesla. The Account Manager will track RFQs, establish and maintain product pricing, coordinate tooling kick-offs and timing, manage samples and trial part orders, maintain online customer portals, and produce and maintain various sales reports. The role involves developing strategies to increase sales in the future for the assigned OEMs and tier suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesGenerate customer quote requests through presentations and promotional materials.Provide quotes to customers and monitor quote status.Plan basic sales strategies to sustain sales growth, collaborating with the engineering department and management.Communicate frequently with customers to acquire information about part usage and initial sales planning.Acquire customers’ vehicle development and end of production schedules.Inform and request capacity confirmation from the production control department for additional quantities.Execute the internal business award process.Manage new customer setup, customer credit, and payment processes.Negotiate customer-owned tooling repair costs and approval and costs for obsolete customer-owned tooling.Coordinate the improvement of standard operating procedures.Prepare and present sales data and strategies to the sales department management.Perform a variety of tasks within the sales area using creativity and judgment.Essential Skills2+ years of sales experience (ideally with Stellantis, but flexible in that space)Bachelor's Degree.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and some PowerPoint.Ability to travel to customers, mostly locally within the Michigan area.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience is preferred.Ability to speak on their network and past experience with OEMsFamiliarity with a variety of plastic resins, injection molding processes, metals, and forming processes.Team player and self-motivated.Organized, task-oriented, and able to multi-task.Work Environment
This position operates in a small engineering office, Monday to Friday from 8-5. The dress code is business casual. You will be working in a small team of 3 sales coordinators, 3 Account Managers, and a Director. The hybrid schedule includes working in the office 2 days a week, typically Monday and Thursday, with the remainder of the week remote. A car allowance is provided, and there are strong forecasts for 2025 with opportunities for advancement based on performance. The bonus is based on company performance, individual performance review scores, and seniority, typically paid around July 4th and Christmas holidays under normal business performance situations.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $47.00
