Account Manager

Details on job description / responsibilities:

Managing existing customersMonthly Sales demand forecasting and reporting through sales project management (Funnel Management)Prepare activity schedules, activity reports, prospect listsVisit clients f2f and set up and conduct virtual meetingsSell products / Close dealsPromote products to (prospective) clientsArrange contract and payment details with the clientFinding potential/new customers in academic and industrial/private sectorsBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and new customersArrange and do demonstrations/presentationsArrange deliveries/installation of productsHandle clients’ queries in oral and/or written formReceive customer ordersUpdate recordsPrepare quotationsArrange servicing of equipmentProvide continuous feedback to the PC ManagerKeep sales recordsOrganise and attend conferences/exhibitionsKeep track of competitors (products/activities)Meet sales targetsTrain customersFollow-up on customer paymentsArrange the ordering of equipmentArrange equipment for branches and congressesArrange product-related workshops, congresses, and roadshowsAssist representatives with specific product requirementsEnsure marketing material for the product is current and availablePresent market related data to the Area Manager & PC Manager for budgetingKeep current records on competitive productsProvide product training to representatives and dealers when requiredProvide product demonstrations when required.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets and expand customer baseAlways stay up to date with products and software through self learning activities and attending webinarsParticipate in budget planning (unit forecasting).

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or related field.  Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years professional sales experience particularly in scientific or technical products, is essential.
