Account Manager

The Account Manager for Commercial Business serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. What you’ll do as an Account Manager: + Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts + Ensure an outstanding customer experience from moment of inquiry through final delivery and collection of payment + Build strong customer relationships, rapport, and trust to maintain existing business and acquire new business + Be the voice of the customer, communicating timely, effectively and positively ensuring their needs are met with a focus on continuously improving the customer experience + Collaborate timely and effectively with internal departments (supply chain, master scheduling, production, warehouse) to ensure all customer requests are fulfilled. Resolve concerns, tracking processes and resolutions + Attend productions meetings as scheduled, communicating customer need and supporting production for customer success + Attend customer meetings as scheduled, documenting needs and ensuring understanding of incoming work, jobs in process and risk to schedule + Ensure the quotation process is followed with timely turnaround to customer expectation + Produce/update/deliver daily/weekly/monthly updates on projects and customer status as required + Responsible for tasks associated with the customer order process such as customer PO acknowledgment, customer shipping, invoicing, billing, etc. + Ensure production work processes are documented and followed for assigned customers (job tickets entered, raw material ordered, shipping protocols, etc.) Attends and facilitates meetings (both internal production meetings and customer-facing meetings) to document needs, track work in progress, address risks, and ensure alignment on project timelines. + Collaborate effectively with (key business partners and leadership to achieve optimal financial results + Build, develop and maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships with internal and external business partners We’re looking for an Account Manager with: + Bachelor’s degree preferred in business management. + 5-7 years of successful externally facing account management, customer service or similar role in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing company. Business to business preferred. + Experience with quotation processes and calculation tools. + International experience desired. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbally and in writing). + Strong presentation skills for both internal and external audiences. + Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes. + Self-motivated with a demonstrated drive for success. + Highly organized, able to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and meet deadlines. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). + SAP or ERP experience is a plus. + 15% Travel. This position requires: + Move throughout entire facility to attend to various issues, service customers and attend meetings + Work effectively in teams with strong communication skills and ability to facilitate + Perform sedentary work on various computer systems. + Required to be on-site 5 days per week + Role will operate during standard business hours but depending on the location of the customer base and during peak periods, some flexibility may be required to handle customer inquiries outside of regular business hours + This Account Manager position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility.
