Description
A Public Sector Account Manager at AWS is responsible for developing and growing strategic relationships with government agencies and departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with senior IT and business stakeholders to learn about strategic goals and identify opportunities for AWS.
- Proposing AWS solutions that address the unique requirements of government agencies to assist them with their mission.
- Driving the sales process from initial discovery through implementation.
- Maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for public sector customers.
The role requires an understanding of the technology landscape and challenges faced by public sector organizations.
- Ideally candidates should have experience selling cloud services, particularly in the public sector, and be able to engage at all levels of a customers organization.
- The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and keeping up-to-date with AWS products and strategies.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience with government procurement and contracting process
