The Role
An Account Manager is the lead point of contact for your accounts, and you have the primary responsibility for selling and supporting Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) products. The assigned accounts represent customers where the analytical technology is expected to be robust and reliable, such as Pharma QA/QC, Environmental, Industrial, Food Safety and Healthcare.
The Thermo Fisher Scientific CMD portfolio covers a broad range of analytical instruments, consumables and services.

The Account Manager maintains effective and long-lasting customer relationships, develops opportunities for strategic growth of the account and works collaboratively and effectively to bring premier support and customer experience, making it easier for our customers to do business with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
The account manager is the primary point of contact and provides sales expertise, mentorship and help driving all CMD commercial activities within the account.
The Team
Together with fellow account managers you form an enthusiastic customer focused team that is supported at the technical level by Technical Sales Specialist and Sales Support colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management mattersBuild, expand and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationshipsCollaborate and coordinate with technical sales and application support to provide the best solution for the customerNegotiate contracts and close agreements to improve profitsDevelop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer partnersClearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external partnersDevelop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales objectivesForecast, track key account metrics, and prepare reports on account and territory statusCollaborate within sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territoryAssist with challenging client requests or issue customer concerns as neededIntroduces new products and services as available and maintain awareness of market developmentsRequirements:
Preferably, proven sales experience in analytical instrument marketBachelor’s degree in the sciences or equivalent work experienceCommercial attitude, strongly motivated by desire to win new businessProvide right solution to the customer, through collaborative efforts with support colleaguesDemonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key partners at all levels of an organizationExcellent, listening, negotiating and presentation abilitiesProven track record to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detailAbility to meet deadlinesStrong verbal and writing communication skills, Dutch and EnglishAbility to explain and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s product portfolioAbility to travel to customer locations up to 80%, may include overnight travelDemonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and InvolvementWe offer You:
