Join our M&A Practice, based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Perth, as an Account Manager in our dedicated Due Diligence and Private Equity team. Bring your project management and insurance knowledge to this fast-paced and exciting role.
The team is responsible for management and delivery of Insurance Due Diligence for clients undertaking mergers, acquisitions, divestments and project financing activities. The team also manages relationships with private equity firms and assists with the ongoing insurance arrangements for those private equity firms and their portfolio companies. We work closely with colleagues in financial lines, cyber, property, casualty and workplace risk to deliver Insurance Due Diligence reports and bring the best of WTW to our clients.
This role is client facing and would suit an experienced insurance professional who is organized, diligent and able to work with autonomy. Experience in M&A and/or a similar Due Diligence role is preferred, however not essential.
The Role
Engaging with other transaction stakeholders (lawyers, investment banks, accounting firms, investment funds, private equity firms, and corporate clients) to develop relationships and co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of projects. Performing premium calculations, report writing and liaising with specialist brokers in financial lines, cyber, property, casualty, and workplace risk. Reviewing and providing advice on sale and purchase agreements, contracts, due diligence reports, risk information, and insurance policies. Delivering superior client service by being responsive and available to meet clients’ demands and sensitive timelines. Assisting the team leader with Business Development.The Requirements
Tier 1 Insurance qualification or a willingness to complete it.Excellent time management skills and the ability to respond to the time-sensitive nature of advisory transactions.Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and timelines, which sometimes occur in M&A deals.Sound oral and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, and negotiate effectively.Proficient in all MS Office products.Technical experience in insurance across financial lines, cyber, property, casualty, or workers’ compensation for corporate or global clients; however other experience will be considered.
