Account Manager - Health & Benefits

The Role

Manage and expand a portfolio of clients by identifying and meeting their Health & Benefit (H&B) needs. Key responsibilities: 

Consult in relation to H&B solutions: group insurance, medical insurance (domestic and speciality risk) and wellness Deliver on client consulting requirements including remarketing (tender) of programs, provision of consulting updates (insurer, legislative, best market practice and managing policy renewal reconciliation) Gather vendor/client information, prepare and analyse benchmark data, communicating trends to clients, developing RFP and client proposal and recommendations Involvement with disputed claims/claims advocacy  Respond to client enquiries and escalated queries Provide input to new business opportunities Provide consulting guidance to less experienced colleagues within the team in managing clients H&B programs Provide guidance and or training to Global Benefits Centre as required Develop and maintain productive relationships with carriers/insurers, clients and other key stakeholders (internal and external) The growth of non-insured benefits adds an additional dimension to our clients solutions, the successful candidate will be able to articulate the options to our clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

The Requirements

Industry qualifications and business degree preferredNZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5)Ability to manage relationships at HR Director/CFO levelUnderstanding of employee benefit offeringsStrong oral and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and business applicationsBroad understanding of business, legal, economic, and financial services environmentsProven relationship management skillsKnowledge of employment agreements and a good understanding of H&B and related products
