Account Manager Healthcare

Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for developing profitable growth. Primary focus will be development of potential target customers based on a specialization platform. Includes forecasting annual objectives for sales, margins and volume growth. Expectations include the ability to sell at all levels of management and build relationships that ensure Avient will continue to get the first and last look. Individual must have the ability to assist customers in problem solving to deliver solutions, bring energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to their daily routines. This role requires the individual to perform the function independently with little to no direction and oversight, and effectively interact and influence at the managerial peer level. 

Our Mevopur™ portfolio of polymer colorant solutions are formulated specifically for use in today’s complex healthcare applications. With robust bio-compatibility pre-testing, healthcare quality systems and change control standards in place, these ‘medical grade’ concentrates and pre-color formulations can help minimize risk and avoid high costs of non-compliance. Globally harmonized formulations are available in a wide range of polymers.

 Essential Functions

Responsible to take care of existing business and develop profitable Revenue growth in Healthcare Applications for our Color & Additive Solutions (Mevopur™) in Europe. Strong focus will be the development of potential target customers and potential coordination across Regions for Global Customers and Specifiers for Healthcare Applications. Understand key players along the Value Chain, applications, requirements, trends and needs as well as Avient’s capabilities for Healthcare Applications.  Deep understanding and serving our Healthcare Customers with essential documentation and risk mitigations plans as one of our Key Value Proposition in our Healthcare Segment Ability to sell at all levels of management and build relationships that ensure Avient will continue to get the first and last look. Approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of customer centric selling skills and tools, prospecting & new account calls, development of a robust sales funnel, avoidance of bad debts, cross selling, and effective Project Management via our CRM management System Close coordinate and collaboration with the European Healthcare Sales teams, Regulatory Team as well with the technical area as necessary to accelerate and drive profitable growth through solutions & Service selling to targeted accounts.  Monitor the competition to better understand issues and threats and develop plans to eliminate barriers.  Implement Avient’s, pricing and market strategies as well as business practices. Negotiate customer contracts and value packages to insure an acceptable return on Avient resources invested.  Participate in strategy development, help position the business and develop the offer. Assist in defining the target markets, and commercial strategy.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Biochemistry, Chemistry, polymer-sciences or Marketing/Business related degree. Experience in sales and/or marketing, technical/R&D experience in a similar industry, preferred in the Healthcare Industry.

Additional Qualifications

Ability to build qualitative long terms relationships and close deals. Strong negotiation, influencing skills. Strong business acumen in order to be able to identify opportunities, assemble creative sales programs and demonstrate competitive advantage. MS Office and SAP, Salesforce.com will be strongly considered. Languages: English and one of additional language is mandatory. Open to travel 50% of the working time. Home Office based – ideally closed to Malmö (Healthcare competence center)
