Account Manager - Medical Review (PharmaReview)
_Account Managers (AMs) manage the day-to-day communication and delivery of tasks for customer accounts. Reporting into the Account Lead (AL) you will be a key contact for customers, and the go-between with your account colleagues. Account Managers play plays a crucial role in resource management. Supporting the Account Lead, you’ll ensure that the team is adequately staffed and assign tasks accordingly to the capabilities of each team member. By allocating the right resources at the right time and right place, as well as escalating concerns or bottlenecks internally in a timely manner, you’ll ensure that the tasks are delivered to the highest standard within budget and on time. You’ll support the Account Lead with Business reviews, new business pitches and strategic and financial planning._ **_Role and responsibilities_** + _Responsible for the day-to-day management of the customer account Work in Progress (WIP)._ + _Ensure tasks are appropriately added to WIP by Account Executives and that tasks are estimated and assigned to appropriate team members. Team capacity management; where additional support is required or is available, that the Operations Director (OD) is notified and AL cc’ed._ + _Daily Point of Contact for customer, manage task/turn around queries and communications._ + _Initial point of contact for conflict resolution; understand need and when to escalate commercial issues to account lead, escalate medical/quality issues to Medical_ _Director/Signatory/Compliance_ _expert assigned to account_ + _Run account WIP review meeting_ + _Deputising for AL in their absence_ + _Where skill set permits – provide technical review/QC/TPOE on account materials from a range of pharmaceutical companies/ agencies (medical accuracy and code compliance)._ + _Liaise with Medical/Compliance to ensure team has up-to-date knowledge regarding a variety of therapeutic areas and client products; attending relevant training._ + _Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Codes of practice (ABPI, IPHA, EFPIA, PhRMA) including any update and attending relevant training._ + _Provide career support to AE’s and SAE’s, knowing when to escalate support needs to medical, training or AL_ + _Oversee training/coaching of Account Eexectuive’s and Sr Account Executive’s supported by AL/Training and Medical/Compliance._ **_Key requirements for role_** + _Life science degree or equivalent_ + _Experience of working in life sciences industry, (pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare agency or equivalent)_ + _Minimum two years’ experience of_ _writing/managing/copy_ _reviewing/proofreading_ _medical / scientific materials_ + _High levels of attention to detail_ + _Excellent time management_ + _Highly organised and enjoy working in fast-paced role managing multiple tasks_ + _Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable communicating with internal [company] and external [customer] stakeholders_ + _Experience in problem solving and providing solutions_ + _Leadership [People management] skills_ + _Understanding of the ABPI, EFPIA, IPHA and PhRMA codes of conduct_ + _Experience working in Veeva Vault PromoMats/MedComms, Aprimo or similar review and approval system_ + _Fluency in English language_ + _Knowledge of the applicable Codes of practice, including ABPI Code of Practice, EFPIA Code, PhRMA Code_ + Locations: UK, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia and South Africa. **This role is not eligible for UK visa sponsorship** . **_Desirable_** + _Pharmacist or Medical Qualification_ + _Signatory/AQP expertise_ + _Life science masters_ IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
