Account Manager - NSW Government, ANZ Public Sector
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our Public Sector team in Sydney. The territory covers a portfolio of government customers across New South Wales. You will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline, delivering on account strategies, identifying and building relationships with key decision makers, working with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams to create and present compelling solutions that drive great customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, passionate about creating great customer outcomes, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. Key job responsibilities
- Increase adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territory
- Challenge outdated approaches to IT
- Utilise internal resources to drive customer outcomes
- Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
- Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
- Create and articulate a compelling value propositions to customers
- Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
- Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
- Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
- Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
