Account Manager Professional Billing
Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the account receivable follow up for selected payers. Activities include analysis of payer denials, preparation of monthly reports, development and recommendations for increased business efficiencies. Responsible for meeting specific payer target gross collection rates, days in A/R and implementing actions to decrease denial rates.
Responsibilities
· Manages a team of 8-10 Senior Accounting Clerks, providing feedback, training, and coaching
· Responsible for managing all account receivable follow up activity within team for specific payers and analyzing denial data through trend analysis and comparative reporting
· Manage and coordinate day to day work-flow of Senior Accounting Clerks
· Evaluate performance, productivity and monitor denial work-flows for recommendations for increased efficiencies and possible automation
· Manage and routinely use billing system to perform automated workflows and monitor and track system auto processes to evaluate denial trends and reduction of A/R
· Document operational procedures and workflows
· Maintain an up to date policy and procedural manual
· Troubleshoot and communicate all billing system related issues
Qualifications
· Team Management - Revenue Cycle (AR Management Preferred)
· Experience in reimbursement regulations
· Competencies in the AR denial management
· Knowledge in EPIC and Microsoft Office Suite
· Superior analytical skills
· Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
