What is the Opportunity?

RBC’s Special Loans & Advisory Services (SLAS) Group is looking for an Account Officer to join their team, supporting account managers in Head Office & Business Markets. 

The Account Officer will serve as a first point of contact for account managers and assists in the day-to-day management of the area, proactively creating capacity by adapting effective workflow systems & processes, platform technology and organizational change initiative focused on Special Loans and Advisory Services (SLAS)

What will you do?

Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of process in the on-boarding of new clients transferred from the field, reporting loan exposures and balances, and tracking cash flows related to write-off and recoveriesAct as primary contact for clients’ non-lending service needs, often by coordinating a solution through external partnersEnsure data integrity and consistency in BRR, BCC, LGD, authorized and outstanding amounts, FX rates, etc. between SLAS’ Advice for Credit Undertaking system and Synergy CCRsProvide ad-hoc reporting to SLAS Sr. Manager and Director of Ops. & Management Information SystemsGather and prepare information/spreadsheets & material required by SLAS Senior Manager/managers for reports, presentations, meeting, etc.Exercise due diligence in the following of procedures relative to fraud prevention, account opening process, anti-money laundering etc. as outlined in folio instructions and guidelinesCorrect data integrity as instructed by managers within established timeframe on exception reports produced on a monthly basis.  Overall responsibility for integrity of records

Must-have

Self-driven with capability of managing multiple prioritiesAbility to take ownership/responsibility for issues and follow them through to completionWork with a sense of urgency as many requests require real time action to mitigate bank riskAbility to problem solve.  Attention to detailOrganizational awareness & familiarity with Bank systems (OLBB, Synergy, Sales Platform, CART, etc.)

 Nice-to-have

Experience in the Business Service Centre (e.g. Liability, CTM, etc.) andExperience in Capital Markets Global Loan Administration or CCMS is an assetProficiency with technology i.e. Microsoft Excel, and other Office productsProficiency with RBC bank systems and ability to navigate through them; or a high aptitude to learn new systems
