The successful candidate:

The Account Reconciliation Supervisor oversees all facets of the Account Reconciliation process. Responsibilities include overseeing necessary account research, reconciliation of accounts regarding calculation and application of adjustments.  Is responsible for supervising the Centralized Account Reconciliation Specialists through their duties and responsibilities. Ensures all adjustments are posted by the guidelines set through the Patient Account department policy and the individual site financial policy. Has thorough understanding of EOB’s, Company Contractual agreements, site specific Financial Policies, calculating and applying adjustments and specific patient agreements. Has ultimate responsibility for all adjustments post billing to all patient accounts for the organization.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 3 years A/R experience in a hospital or physician healthcare setting including insurance, self-pay, healthcare collections/billing and insurance verifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of accounting principles and statistical analyses required

Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 codes, CPT/HCPC’s codes

Advanced written and verbal communication skills as well as high level customer service skills

Strong analytical skills inclusive of account reconciliation and balancing knowledge

Strong leadership skills

Capable of speaking in large groups and conducting meetings

Excellent organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities

Efficient, reliable, flexible, goal oriented and adaptable to change, while maintaining high productivity levels

Preferred Attributes

BA/BS degree

Prior supervisory experience
