We’re looking for an International Sales Manager to join our European Sales Team. You will sell Pearson Edexcel qualifications and teaching resources to International Schools. Your role will focus on managing and growing customer accounts, building close customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets to support our goals for 2025 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management :
Manage existing accounts and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
Business Development :
Develop relationships with new customers and position Pearson as their preferred education partner.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in your territory.
Planning & Reporting :
Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track progress and maintain a clear pipeline.
Prepare accurate forecasts and update them regularly.
Market Knowledge :
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and customer needs.
Use market insights to shape operational and strategic plans.
Collaboration :
Work closely with internal teams, such as Marketing and Product Development, to deliver tailored solutions.
Act as a Pearson ambassador in your assigned markets.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Essential Skills and Experience
Strong and demonstrable sales track record, with proven experience and expertise in consultative selling techniques.
Sharp customer focus with key account management experience, able to form close relationships, and elicit and respond to customer needs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Able to interact effectively with all levels of people, especially at senior management level within key stakeholder groups.
A self-starter with a solid work ethic, self-discipline, persistence and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
A collaborative approach and the ability to influence people who are not direct reports.
Strong analytical and reporting abilities, with a focus on achieving targets.
Fluent in English (Native speaker preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Willingness to travel extensively within your region.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Knowledge of international school curricula (e.g., International GCSEs, International A Levels, IB, etc)
Experience in the education sector or teaching qualifications.
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Coaching or mentoring experience.
