Account Representative

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Under minimal supervision, The AR role supports Territory Sales Representatives (TSRs) and clients directly, combining client support with inside sales responsibilities to ensure an exceptional experience for our dermatology partners.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the go-to support for TSRs, assisting with client needs and ensuring smooth account management.Prioritize client satisfaction by focusing on current account support (70%) through regular check-ins, addressing concerns, and providing solutions.Drive growth by making outbound calls to new prospects (30%) and developing opportunities for expansion.Maintain and organize updated contact lists for both current clients and new prospects. ○ Utilize CRM tools to document interactions and follow-up tasks.Qualify and engage leads from digital campaigns, conferences, and tradeshows, and convert them into potential clients.Present SHUSA’s digital dermatopathology capabilities to prospects, demonstrating our commitment to accuracy and accessibility.Collaborate with the TSR to enhance service for existing clients and identify additional needs.Meet or exceed assigned sales and client support goals within specified timeframes.Provide regular updates on account status and prospect development, contributing to sales and lab meetings.Support TSRs by maintaining an in-depth understanding of the DermPath Division’s services, market trends, and the needs of our dermatology clientele.Uphold and communicate SHUSA’s mission in all client and prospect interactions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience in inside sales or account support, ideally in a healthcare or medical sales setting. Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and independently manage time in a remote work setting. Proficiency in CRM tools and contact management systems. Familiarity with the dermatology and/or pathology market is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Background in medical sales or laboratory services, especially in dermatopathology.2+ years of lab related experience preferred, pathology a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Occasionally lifts up to 15 pounds at times.
