Account Representative I

Primary Purpose \n

Responsible for outside sales, new business development, and account management with assigned accounts or customer to support all business services for Heritage and in achieving its revenue and profitability goals. Manages quality and consistency of product and service delivery. Travel 80% of time.\n

Essential Functions and Responsibilities \n\nEnsures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.\nIncreases sales revenue and profit dollars by identifying potential new accounts and soliciting orders through personal sales calls to explain services, assess potential customer needs.\nIncreases sales revenue and profit dollars of existing accounts through regular contact with customers, continued communication about other available services.\nFosters sales relationships with target accounts.\nPrepares, submits and interprets periodic report on activities, sales volume and expenses.\nAttends and participates in sales meeting and training programs; represents company at trade shows and conventions, Chamber of Commerce and professional associations.\nKeeps informed on major environmental regulatory changes and industry trends as well as competitive conditions.\nDemonstrate ability to adapt to CORE business and customer categorization.\nDemonstrate ability to manage DSO's to <45 days.\nAbility to work with customers to profiles, service time frames, and ensure quality and customer satisfaction with the current offering. Works to resolve any customer concerns.\nAbility to negotiate pricing and contract requirements.\nComplete annual sales revenues budget and key customer initiatives.\nPrepares, submits and interprets periodic report on activities, sales volume and expenses. Manage and control sales expenses and ensure the timely submission of business expenses.\nComprehensive understanding of the Company's service offerings for the business lines they offer to customers.\n\n

Education: Four year college degree required. Sales, Business, Marketing or Science preferred.\n

Experience: 3 years proven industry related (hazardous\/environmental) sales experience required or in Lieu of degree, 7+ years of proven related (hazardous\/environmental) industry experience is required.\n

Knowledge and Abilities: Must posses good communications skills, both written and verbal. Requires knowledge of computers. Working understanding of all Heritage services. Proven sales ability. Travel required 80% of the time, overnight travel required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.\n

A post offer drug screen will be required.\n
