Job Summary
Effective collection of problem and delinquent accounts.
Responsibilities
• Effectively collect problem and delinquent accounts through telephone or personal contact with customers.
• Evaluate accounts for collectability.
• Indicate and recommend a course of action to be taken on accounts.
• Effectively communicate with customers and patient accounts.
• Attend two (2) collection seminars per year.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to a collection of a debt by a collection agency or agent (including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act).
• Maintain and demonstrate financial responsibility.

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)
The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
Competency Statement

Education
• High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 1 Year Telecommunications or account collection Substitution: Telecommunication training certificate may substitute for 1 year experience
