Accountant – Asset Finance
Select is renowned for providing exceptional modular temporary accommodation and site solutions, playing a key role in the delivery of some of the UK's most iconic construction projects.

Select are looking for an Asset Finance Accountant to business partner with our funders to secure asset financing on our capex assets and building key relationships with both customer service teams and senior relationship managers. The Asset Finance Accountant is responsible for maintaining our Capex report that tracks our expenditure and ensuring we have the appropriate headroom for future capex with our funders. You would be liaising with external auditors completing asset audits on behalf of our funders.

Responsibilities

Reporting Funder analysis for both management and financial accounts. Reporting and posting journals for operating lease assets. Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for both Hire Purchase and Operating Lease assets that fall under IFRS16.  Be responsible for the capitalisation of assets in COINs. Review of disposals ensuring any outstanding settlements are processed. Fixed Asset Register Reconciliations.  Maintenance of the asset listing ensuring clearance letters are requested and filed. Drive and manage Select cash through refinancing of unencumbered assets. Maintaining the FMIS reporting system and be responsible for the upgrade to the new platform. Be responsible for the preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Support the Finance Manager with the yearly audit and Financial Reporting at year end.

Key Skills  Ideally fully qualified accountant, nearly qualified.  An ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to build and maintain good working relationships. Focussed on meeting deadlines with the ability to prioritise workload. Analytical and flexible with meticulous attention to detail Experience using COINs/Tagetik and/or MIB/CIM cubes would be beneficial but not essential. Previous experience of asset financing and understanding of IFRS16 would be advantageous. Experience of developing/improving processes.
