 The Accountant 2 performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects. The Accountant 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Accountant 2 prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, analyzing variations from budget and forecast. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.  Responsibilities include Joint Venture Accounting including Monthly Close processes and reporting.

Update and distribute monthly financial reporting packagesResponsible for the Joint Venture accounting – record transactions, financial analysis and prepare reportsReview and prepare financial data, transactions and reports, including ad-hoc data requests for executive leadershipPartner with other areas across the organization to ensure accurate reporting of our financialsPrepare and record journal entriesDevelop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analysesSpecial projects as business requires

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

2 - 5 years of professional experience

Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Hyperion essbase

Prior experience in public or corporate accounting

Knowledge of SQL applications

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong analytic skills with attention to details

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$65,000 - $88,600 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
