Everbridge, a rapidly growing global provider of SaaS-based critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, is seeking an Accountant to join our team in Hungary. This is a fully remote, home-based role open to candidates across Hungary.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover for a duration of 2 years.
As an Accountant you will be responsible for some and eventually all our accounting-related operations of our international subsidiaries. This includes responsibility for accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings, as well as supporting accounting operations that will enable our company to scale efficiently. What you'll do: Work closely with a local accountant and the US-based corporate accounting team to ensure well-documented, accurate and timely financial closings, including all Journals and appropriate month end Balance Sheet reconciliation and P&L variance analysisBuild and maintain scalable processes for, and accuracy of, international payroll, commissions, and invoicing Assist in the international impact of new US-based accounting standards and regulationsPost-close integration of acquired companies into our uniform international accounting operations as well as our US-based corporate ERP system and ancillary platformsPartner with the international Financial Planning & Analysis team in establishing budgets, forecasts, and reporting for all international subsidiariesCoordinate with external auditors during the annual statutory audits to insure timely and accurate filingsAssist during the annual corporate audit with any international requests of documentation and testingAssist during the annual corporate SOX 404b certification process including testing, walk-throughs and remediation of scoped-in international subsidiariesEvaluate and manage appropriate revenue and cost sharing arrangements between international operating subsidiariesWhat you'll bring: Education: Accounting degree or equivalentMinimum 3 years of recent experience in operational accounting as AP or AR and / or exposure to basic accounting as double entries and trial balance. Software company experience is required, and any experience of SAAS and cloud-based companies is a plusWork experience for a subsidiary of a US-based parent company is a plusAccounting qualification student preferredExperience in working in a multinational environment Project management skills – ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects from start to finish, incorporating feedback from multiple sourcesAbility to multi-task and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and commitment to accuracyOutstanding oral and written communications abilitiesFluency in English (must have)#LI-HG1
