Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This Contract position offers an opportunity to manage and oversee the complete accounting cycle while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate accounting and proficiency in accounting software systems such as Yardi. Responsibilities: • Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. • Maintain and review the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. • Perform accounting for multiple entities, consolidating financial data and generating comprehensive reports. • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency. • Handle intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations with precision. • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax preparation processes. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed financial insights. • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain effective internal controls. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly Yardi. • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and full-cycle accounting processes. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. • Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidating financial records. • Knowledge of balance sheet accounts and corporate accounting practices. • Ability to collaborate effectively with auditors and tax professionals. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and internal control standards.
