**Position Summary:** Jefferson Wells is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior General Accountant for a long term contract role with our client in Detroit. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NetSuite, a solid background in account reconciliations and journal entries, and the ability to supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and supports the month-end and year-end close processes. Hybrid role - 3 days a week in the office. **Key Responsibilities:** + Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. + Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. + Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. + Utilize NetSuite ERP for day-to-day accounting functions, reporting, and analysis. + Assist with financial statement preparation and internal/external audits. + Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and reviewing their work. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions. + Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred). + 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. + Proficiency in NetSuite is required. + Strong understanding of GAAP, account reconciliations, and journal entries. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Experience with audit support and financial reporting is a plus. **Preferred Skills:** + Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). + Supervisory skills to review the work of others. **About ManpowerGroup, Parent Company of:** **Manpower, Experis, Talent Solutions, and Jefferson Wells** _ManpowerGroup® (NYSE: MAN), the leading global workforce solutions company, helps organizations transform in a fast-changing world of work by sourcing, assessing, developing, and managing the talent that enables them to win.
