We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team and support the ingredients business in Lerma. this position, the Cost Accountant will need to have the ability to partner with Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to help them achieve their goals. Using accounting and financial analysis experience, this role will support management and provide data driven recommendations, as well as ensuring that inventory and manufacturing controls are executed consistently.
What you’ll do:
Use General Accounting Functions such as review month-end inventory balances and transactions.Perform weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations.Assist with internal and external audit requestsPost Journal Entries to GL and manage accruals.Review spending (Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Labor) on a regular basis and provide summarized information to management. Review and publish manufacturing variances. Financial AnalysisQuote manufacturing and resale productsProduction Metrics and StatisticsConstantly seek improvements in methods to better understand and report the production data.What you’ll bring:
3+years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or food processing businessPossesses a positive attitude and ability to hit the ground runningAdvance level of Microsoft Office Excel required.What you’ll get:
