GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for using advanced accounting knowledge to develop, monitor, and maintain ledger accounts and financial statements/reporting, while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements. The role involves performing daily accounting functions, supporting accounting close processes, and conducting account reconciliations, requiring a detail-oriented individual with strong data analysis skills, a thorough understanding of accounting/finance fundamentals, and the ability to multi-task effectively. Assignments are complex in nature and broader in scope, completed under minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist in the month end close process including journal entries, account reconciliation and key control documentation.Assist in account fluctuation analysis.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and maintaining routine communication as needed.Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives, including contributing to and assisting with accounting projects to improve efficiencyEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.Maintain and update accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Work with other departments to address financial queries and support cross-functional initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance4+ Years of Finance or Accounting Experience OR 2+ years of Public Accounting ExperienceIntermediate-level professional beginning to develop expertise in a particular job area and industry

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines, working effectively both independently and in a team environment.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and project management.Exhibits strong business acumen, organization skills, and the ability to complete work accurately and on time.Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Curious learner and self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
