The Accountant position analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. This is a full-time, in-person position offering a competitive salary within a growing, healthcare company located in Topeka, KS.

Duties and Responsibilities Verify, allocate, post and reconcile monthly transactions and reports
Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting
Preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirementsAssist with analyzing financial statements, financial and tax auditsSupport end of month, end of quarter, and end of year reportingCommunicate and collaborate with accounting staff and other departmentsDocument, monitor, and report on internal controlsProvide support and feedback regarding established department procedures RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or higher-level degree in accounting, required1-5 years of professional experience, preferredCPA license, preferred not required Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data The ability to work independently
