Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio. The primary function of this role is to handle day-to-day cost accounting functions in the industry. The successful candidate will be expected to execute entries to the general ledger and perform account reconciliation and analysis related to inventory and cost of goods sold accounts. Responsibilities: • Aid in the monthly manufacturing and overhead variance analysis and reporting, including labor/overhead absorption by product lines/department • Support in the preparation and analysis of department expenses • Assist in ensuring compliance with daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile results • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories, including associated internal controls over them • Help in maintaining standard costs and developing manufacturing group and distribution center business plans • Assist in the completion of monthly closing process and recurring operational/financial reports and activities • Contribute to the year-end audit process • Develop positive business relationships for collaboration and knowledge sharing • Perform financial analysis and special requests as required.
