Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and skilled Accountant in Denver, Colorado. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with handling accounts payable for the organization, providing necessary support to the accounting team, and ensuring the completion of multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
• Attentively process accounts payable, credit card transactions, and electronic payments while ensuring data integrity.
• Conduct regular reviews of the Accounts Payable aging report and address any past due balances.
• Offer administrative support for the contract team and the independent contractor process.
• Assist in the enrolment and data collection for electronic payments and maintain precise bank records.
• Work collaboratively with the accounting team to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Consistently review vendor W-9s, prepare and issue 1099 forms annually, and file 1099 reports.
• Generate detailed reports for review by the CFO, including all vouchers and payments.
• Provide training and support to staff on the Accounts Payable workflow.
• Communicate effectively with staff and vendors regarding Accounts Payable transactions, processes, and timelines.
• Maintain well-documented procedures, identify opportunities for procedure efficiencies, and train necessary staff members on transaction processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for the effective management and organization of financial information.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is essential to ensure all financial operations within the company are accurately executed.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary to manage and streamline all payable transactions efficiently.
• Familiarity with Journal Entries is important for maintaining and updating the company's financial records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
