Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this contract to hire role, you will be tasked with a variety of financial management duties, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation. You will also be involved in the development of internal control policies, financial risk management, job costing procedures, and payroll oversight, specifically within the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Handle all aspects of corporate accounting in an accurate and timely manner • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures • Prepare financial reports and budgets, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date • Manage financial risk, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions • Oversee the job costing procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy • Manage payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time • Utilize accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) • Update and maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate • Perform Controllership Functions, ensuring all financial operations are running smoothly • Use problem-solving skills to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues. Requirements • Candidate must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting. • Proficiency in QuickBooks software is mandatory. • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Proficiency in maintaining the General Ledger is crucial. • Capability to perform Controllership Functions is essential.
