About the Role

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP

Perform month-end ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances in ledger accounts

Actively involved in the financial close process-with an emphasis in fixed assets accounting-including maintaining fixed assets subledger, fixed assets disposition, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses and reporting

Partner closely with various business units such as Purchasing team and Facilities team to review, analyze, and develop processes to support fixed assets accounting

Process operational transactions for business accruals, bank reconciliation, prepaid expenses, and leases

Collaborate with various departments, including Treasury, FP&A, Payroll, Accounts Payable teams, and business partners for proper recording of transactions

Support SOX compliance efforts and assist in improvement of control procedures

Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance

Drive process improvement, build efficiencies, and innovate

Work to form positive relationships with internal customers and external vendors

Active participant in delivering on accounting and organization goals

Recopilar y analizar información para preparar asientos contables de conformidad con los PCGA.

Realizar conciliaciones de cuentas contables a fin de mes; investigar y resolver variaciones en las cuentas del libro mayor.

Participar activamente en el proceso de cierre financiero, enfocándose en la contabilidad de activos fijos, incluido el mantenimiento del libro auxiliar de activos fijos, la enajenación de activos fijos, la preparación de asientos contables, las conciliaciones de cuentas y los informes y análisis de flujo.

Colaborar de manera estrecha con varias unidades de la empresa, como el equipo de Compras y el equipo de Instalaciones, para revisar, analizar y desarrollar procesos que respalden la contabilidad de activos fijos.

Procesar las transacciones operativas de los devengos del negocio, las conciliaciones bancarias, los gastos prepagos y los alquileres.

About You

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance

3+ years of relevant experience 

Other Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Public accounting, software and/or SaaS industry preferred

Experience using large ERP system

Strong knowledge of US GAAP relates to Capitalization of Fixed Assets is preferred

Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed

High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask

Collaborative teammate to work with cross-functional teams

Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment

Fixed Asset accounting experience preferred

Payroll accounting experience preferred

Corporate and individual tax accounting experience a plus

Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills

Strong Excel skills, IE - can execute formulas and pivot tables

Detailed and analytical person who thrives in solving problems

Cualificaciones básicas:

Título universitario en contabilidad o finanzas.

3 años o más de experiencia comprobada.
