Description Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to perform high-level professional accounting functions. This role includes maintaining fiscal records, reconciling accounts, preparing various financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The accountant will also provide support in payroll processing, grant tracking, and special projects, working closely with various departments to maintain accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts, ledgers, and payroll. + Prepare and review journal entries, financial reports, and tax filings. + Reconcile accounts to the general ledger, including bank statements and subsidiary ledgers. + Process payroll, update software configurations, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations. + Provide technical support for capital projects, grants, and reimbursement agreements. + Monitor budgets, expenditures, and revenues while preparing customized financial reports. + Act as a resource for departments and assist with audits and system upgrades. + Support year-end closing processes, prepare audit schedules, and maintain compliance with internal controls. + Participate in training sessions and remain updated on accounting standards and practices.
