Accountant (manufacturing)

THE ROLE 

As a member of the Accounting (manufacturing) team, you will be responsible for global inventory valuation and the associated reserves while partnering with Operations Finance.  This role will strive for continuous improvement, embrace technology, and collaborate with team members.

TEAM 

You’d be working alongside 3 other team members and the greater accounting team of 16. We work hard and celebrate wins! We focus on solutions and help each other to achieve our goals and impact ASP`s growth.

LOCATION

Remote role (located in Irvine, CA preferred).  Over the past few years our team has expanded to all parts of the United States and frequent interaction with ASP team members in Europe.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Perform global month end closing activities for inventory, reserves and accruals.  Tasks included but not limited to: journal entries, account reconciliations and supplemental financial schedules Supports Global Standard costing updates in collaboration with the regional finance and operations teams Actively support internal and external audit processes with audit compliant documentation and transparent communication Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and Fortive Business Systems (FBS) for driving process improvements and daily management

WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT FIT 

A minimum of 2 years in accounting ideally with inventory experience but not required Highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and drive for continuous improvement. A ‘hands on’ work style, comfortable with the detail, and able to move seamlessly between tactical and strategic issues as required. Positive, enthusiastic team player who can partner with all levels of the organization and work independently Proficiency with ERP system(s) (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office with Excel skills.
