Description We are in search of an Accountant for our team in the Oil & Gas industry, located in Dallas, Texas. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with processing invoices and maintaining vendor relationships, recording journal entries for various transactions, preparing monthly accrival journal entries and assisting with the month-end close process. You will also assist with the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities: • Handle the processing of invoices, including data entry and coding • Foster and manage vendor relationships to resolve any discrepancies • Prepare and process payments to vendors • Record journal entries for a variety of transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets • Conduct bank account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies • Prepare monthly accrual journal entries for different expenses • Assist in the month-end close process • Aid in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules • Maintain accurate and organized financial records • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting role within the Oil & Gas industry. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proven track record in Auditing and maintaining Balance Sheet Account. • Capability to handle Approved Invoices, Code Invoices, and Coding Invoices. • Experience with Enter Invoices, Customer Invoices, and Enter Vendor Invoices. • Ability to manage High-Volume Invoicing, Invoice Approvals, and Invoice Coding. • Expertise in Vendor Management and managing Vendor Relationships. • Understanding of Accrual Accounting and managing Expense Accruals. • Proficient in Financial Reporting and preparing Financial Reports. • Experience with Monthly Financial Reporting. • Ability to prepare Journal Entries, Adjusting Journal Entries, and manage Ledger Journal Entries. • Familiarity with Month-end Journal Entries and Monthly Journal Entries. • Proven experience in Post Journal Entries and Posting Journal Entries. • Knowledge of General Ledger and Account Reconciliation. • Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Ability to perform Bank Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, and Cash Reconciliations. • Familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation and Daily Reconciliation. • Proficiency in Expense Reconciliation. • Experience in handling Multi-state Payroll and Multistate Payroll. • Familiarity with Payroll - 101 - 500 Employees and Payroll - Garnishments. • Proven track record in managing Fixed Asset Ledger, Fixed Asset Management, and Fixed Asset Records. • Familiarity with Fixed Asset System and maintaining Fixed Assets.
