Description We are on the hunt for a meticulous Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry, based in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, you will be handling a variety of tasks, including managing financial operations, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic objectives. The responsibilities for this Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, monitoring financial regulations, preparing journal entries, assisting with tax preparation, and participating in the development and tracking of cost control. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation. Everyday Responsibilities • Guarantee compliance with GAAP and healthcare financial regulations • Work closely with billing and revenue cycle teams to enhance financial performance • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliation, and manage accounts payable and receivable • Participate in tax preparation, audits, and regulatory filings • Supervise financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance • Offer financial analysis and cost control recommendations to leadership team • Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) effectively to maintain accurate records • Maintain a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries. Requirements The ideal Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
