Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Colton, California. In this role, you will be an integral part of our accounting department, working closely with the Controller to maintain our financial records and processes. Your responsibilities will cover a broad range of accounting tasks, from general ledger reconciliation to fixed asset accounting. Responsibilities: • Perform General Ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP standards • Assist in the regular reconciliation of ledger accounts • Participate in the monthly and yearly closing processes • Maintain and manage fixed asset records • Calculate and record accruals and depreciation schedules • Ensure accurate balance sheet account reconciliations • Resolve any discrepancies in financial records • Utilize Excel for various tasks, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes. Requirements • Position: Staff Accountant • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in General Ledger management • Proficiency in Ledger Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation • Experience with Accruals calculations and adjustments • Proficiency in Fixed Asset Depreciation calculations • Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting • A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
