Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in Fresno, California. As an Accountant, you'll engage in a variety of accounting functions, including the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting payroll processes. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable • Assist in the execution of payroll processes and related tax payments • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions through the preparation and posting of journal entries • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, which includes the preparation of adjusting journal entries • Assist in generating financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to rectify billing and payment discrepancies • Uphold accounting records in accordance with company policies and procedures • Collaborate with external accountants during audits • Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office 365 in the execution of accounting duties. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the field of accounting. • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) tasks. • Experience with managing Accounts Receivable (AR) operations. • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations. • Solid understanding of General Ledger management. • Experience with processing Journal Entries. • Proven track record with Month End Close procedures.
