Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support the finance team in managing month-end closing, reporting, and financial reconciliations. This role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling General Ledger accounts, assisting with tax returns, and supporting the forecasting and budgeting process when required. The Accountant will also be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR) for multiple reporting units and ensuring compliance with financial policies and reporting deadlines. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, participation in system implementations, and contributing to process improvements that enhance organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Prepare month-end journal entries.

Submit monthly and quarterly BPC supplementary templates in a timely manner.

Reconcile all General Ledger accounts in Blackline.

Assist in the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.

Prepare financial data for year-end audits.

Monitor Primary Working Capital to achieve financial targets.

Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) for three reporting units.

Assist the Supervisor in forecasting and budgeting processes when required.

Support the team during system implementation projects.

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Perform any other duties as requested to support the finance team.

Requirements

Experience in an accounting role, with a focus on financial reporting and reconciliations.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
