We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting tasks, verify transactions, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be capable of handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll coordination. This role involves supporting the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and coordinating with other departments to maintain accurate financial information.
ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting tasks and verify transactions are posted to correct accounts.Record and maintain accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions, customer and vendor records, and collections.Reconcile bank and credit card statements.Maintain monthly prepaids and accruals schedules.Coordinate with payroll consultants for timely preparation of time card and payroll reports.Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all financial operations.Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial information and manage expenses.Handle ad-hoc financial requests and queries from management.Background Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.General ledger management.Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.Month-end close processes.Prepaid expenses management.Reconciliation and journal entry.2-3 years of experience in AR, AP, and purchasing.Intermediate Excel skills, including SUMIF, Vlookup, and Pivot Tables.Strong understanding of GAAP.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
