Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing general-ledger account reconciliations, verifying data accuracy, and identifying and correcting errors. You will support financial closes, provide schedules and commentary for management accounts, and assist with tax compliance and special financial reports.
Responsibilities
+ Perform general-ledger account reconciliations and verify accuracy of data.
+ Identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
+ Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes including journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and maintenance of operational management accounts.
+ Assist in providing schedules and commentary for operational management account results and variances.
+ Produce working-capital cash-flow reports.
+ Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.
+ Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
+ Assist CPA firm with sales/use tax data for returns and ensure company compliance with sales/use tax regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Professional experience in accounting, such as an internship or staff role.
+ Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
+ Desire to continue professional growth through training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance.
+ Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Work Environment
The work environment includes the option to work from home after three months, depending on training. The schedule is Monday and Friday from home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
