The Accountant is responsible for working with client financials, accounts payable/receivable, financial audits and daily accounting operations. Serving as the primary liaison withAssocia'sclient shared service center the Accountant also regularly interacts with internal and external clients and vendors and may support operations and sales teams with specific accounting expertise.
\n\nResponsibilities:
\n\nSort documents and post debits/credits to proper account.\nVerify amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy.\nBalance entries and make necessary corrections.\n\n\nMaintain and make necessary posting and adjustments to general ledger accounts, records, journals and property records.\nVerify and reconcile simple bank statements or department records.\nMaintains relationships with external auditors to complete audits of year-end financial statements.\nIdentify, research, resolve and communicate accounting, auditing and operational issues.\nProvides technical and financial advice and knowledge to others including property managers and board members\n\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n RequirementsRequirements:
\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.\n\n\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.\n\n\nMust be very detail oriented, possess excellent follow through, and have the ability to multi-task.\n\n\nThree (3) years general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience is required.\nMust have knowledge and proficiency of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, and Cost Control Principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.\n\n\nHOA industry experience or financial/accounting department experience directly related to real estate or HOA management preferred.\n\n#LI-MA1
