Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Accountant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role lies within the financial services industry and the workplace will be in a traditional office setting. The Accountant will be tasked with a variety of accounting functions, including the processing and reporting of financial data using different software systems. Responsibilities: • Journal entries, Job costing, end of month • Maintenance and updating of customer credit records on a regular basis • Prompt and effective resolution of customer inquiries related to their accounts • Proactive monitoring of customer accounts and taking necessary actions when required • Conducting month-end close activities which include account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements • Tracking, analyzing, and addressing variances against project costs and allocated overheads • Preparing and posting journal entries such as prepaids, accruals, and depreciation in accordance with company policies • Utilizing Accounting Software Systems such as Sage 100 and QuickBooks for efficient financial processing and reporting • Assisting in audits and implementing process improvements to enhance overall accounting efficiencies • Balancing sheet account tasks, including the handling of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. Requirements • QuickBooks, Sage 100 and Excel • Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, journal entries and month end. • Familiarity with Concur software • Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Auditing • Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
