Introduction to the team
Global Finance drives decisions and unlocks growth for EG by owning the balance sheet, providing data-driven insights, and expanding margins. The Global Accounting team, within Finance, ensures that the company’s financial reporting and operations across multiple countries are accurate, compliant, and strategically aligned. Consisting of 170 smart, creative and business-savvy professionals, located in offices around the globe, we take the time to understand our businesses and business partners, and we are trusted and valued partners. In this role you will:
Learn about the company’s financial and management accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of journal entry preparation and posting.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of account reconciliations and sub-ledgers.
Acquire a basic understanding of how the department operates and fits into the larger organization. Demonstrates basic awareness of the policies, practices, trends, and information that impact the organization and its customers.
Work with internal and external auditors
Participate in month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations
Support business teams by providing accounting guidance and analysis support
Work on non-routine projects - such as process improvements, cross functional projects, system implementation and creating processes for new assignments
Experience and Qualifications:
0-3 years accounting experience preferably in a large growth oriented international organization or high-tech company
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to articulate clearly complex processes to audiences with differing levels of understanding
Attention to detail and proactive approach
Team player with multi-tasking skills, ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to identify potential process improvements and implement projects and processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data
Experience working with complex systems and processes preferred
The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $51,500.00 to $72,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $82,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
