The Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing account reconciliations and monthly closing activities related to assigned entities in Stryker and additional support required per ad-hoc request.
Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities.
Investigate and resolve unsupported balances.
Provide support to the business on request related to journal/recon backups.
Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management, which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses.
Financial Statement analysis.
Prepare journal entries calculations.
Perform the month-end closing process and any requests as necessary
Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP.
Performs other related work to the accounting cycle.
What you need:Required:
+2 years of relevant working experience in accounting roles in a matrixed international company or shared service center.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
MS Office Suite (Intermediate Excel level [pivot table, formulas, charts])
Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish. 80%
Preferred:
SAP, Oracle or QAD systems knowledge is a big plus
Travel Percentage: 10%
