As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.
Hatch is seeking a Billing Accountant to work in our Ambler, PA office. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate interested in working within a finance team or someone who may have some previous billing experience who is looking for growth. The candidate will coordinate with our Project Managers, Project Sponsors and Project Controls to process billing in accordance with client requirements, within the currently established procedures, and the timeliness established in our contract agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare invoices and accompanying documentation per contract and client requirements Work with the Project Managers to research any unbilled issues Deliver invoices to the clients in an expeditious manner per the client and company policies Support special project analyses as needed and perform additional assignments as required Proactively work with Project Managers to ensure accuracy of accounting records and systems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred Basic understanding of general accounting principles Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required Excellent communication and language skills with the ability to effectively communicate and work cohesively with project managers and team members A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to process information quickly Previous SAP experience considered a plus Must take ownership of work product and be a self-starter and a team player Prior job experience in accounting/billing at professional services organization a plus
