Accountant/Bookkeeper
Description Robert Half has partnered with a locally-owned & operated organization as they look to add an experienced Accountant to their team to handle all bookkeeping (from day-to-day transactions through month-end close) and some HR related activities. As the successful candidate, you will have large impact as part of a small team as you: • Oversee all accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and QuickBooks data entry • Handle credit card payment processing and reconcile bank accounts • Maintain and update all accounting records, reporting key performance indicators on a monthly basis • Monitor the flow of finances into the company, organizing credit card batches and matching automatic bank deposits and charges with customer payments in QuickBooks • Process company payables, receivables, and perform month-end duties • Balance company checking accounts and report any discrepancies • Assist in the collection of past due accounts • Process and track sales orders, from receipt to invoice • Oversee inventory levels and manage mid-year and year-end physical inventories • Maintain all records associated with current and past employees, ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations • Assist in developing and administering a comprehensive benefit package for the company • Assist in advertising, evaluating, hiring, and training new employees • Assist in payroll functions as needed and maintain employee vacation and absentee files • Organize company functions and corporate meetings • Assist in marketing and customer service projects as they arise. Requirements The ideal candidate will likely possess: • Proven experience in and accounting/bookkeeping role for at least 3 years • Proficiency in using QuickBooks software (ideal, but not required) • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrated experience in Billing and Account Reconciliation • Familiarity with Month End Close processes • Experience in Onboarding new employees • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interested in this direct hire opportunity?
