Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an entry-level Accountant in the insurance industry, based in Cerritos, California. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and performing account reconciliation using Microsoft Excel and Sage Intacct. Responsibilities: • Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time. • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including generating invoices and following up on outstanding payments. • Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate record keeping. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Operate Sage Intacct software for accounting functions. • Maintain detailed and organized financial records. • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to AP, AR, and account reconciliation. • Monitor financial transactions and report any irregularities. • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies. Requirements • A 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role. • Proficiency in account reconciliation is required for this position. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is a must. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role. • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is a significant advantage.
