Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid/Remote, 40 hours/week, 9-5 or 8-4) full-time , permanent contract

About the Role:
My client is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Financial Accountant with a focus on public funding. This role demands excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities:

Organize and apply for tax research allowances, maintaining documentation and tracking application statuses. Prepare detailed reports and manage drawdowns per grant agreements, collaborating with project teams for alignment. Coordinate with the billing team to raise timely invoices. Meet KPIs for submissions as set by the manager. Develop monitoring and verification plans following grant award notifications. Monitor and evaluate grant-funded projects to ensure objectives are met, providing updates to stakeholders. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding tax office and funding body requirements. Present findings through reports and presentations. Develop and maintain data models and reports to track KPIs and metrics. Stay updated on industry trends in public funding.

Candidate Profile:

Experience: Background in German tax or working with German, European, and UK funding bodies. Familiarity with funding application processes is a plus. Language: Fluent in German (native level) and English (professional). Skills: Strong analytical thinking, proactive attitude, excellent communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
