As a Staff Accountant I, you will perform various administrative and accounting functions in support of area accounting needs. What You'll Do + Manage core accounting responsibilities including journal entry processing, ledger reconciliation and analysis, and generating regular and ad-hoc reports. + Review classification of expenses in the general ledger report and prepare necessary adjustments in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) + Implement process improvements/efficiencies; perform financial analysis + Communicate and work collaboratively with corporate departments and area operations and administration + Assist with various audit tasks, including providing support and/or documentation for internal and external audit and various ad-hoc reports as needed + Identify and help to implement process improvements/efficiencies within the accounting department + Problem solve independently or through collaborative efforts with various personnel + Promote Centuri’s Core Values, Leadership Principles, and culture + Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership What You'll Have + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field + SAP experience is strongly preferred + Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite + Strong organizational and interpersonal skills + Ability to multi-task and accomplish all assignments timely, independently, and against aggressive deadlines + Communicate professionally, both written and oral + Ability to problem solve independently or through collaborative efforts with various personnel; be a team player What You'll Get + Benefit Package including Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage + 401K w/ Company Match + Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance and Short-Term and Long-Term Disability + Vacation/Sick Time and Paid Holidays + Potential Bonus Opportunities + Career Development Opportunities + Employee Discounts + Weekly Payroll Work Environment + Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment + 3-2 Hybrid schedule except during critical deadlines + Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice + Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing + Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments + Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Legal Stuff + Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens + Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify + Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commitment This job description is subject to change at any time.
