POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data. Will work closely with other Corporate Accounting Department staff to ensure general ledger and accounting entries are posted correctly, timely, and completely. Assist with posting and reconciling various general ledger accounts and preparing periodic financial and regulatory reports. This role will be required to partner with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance and accuracy of our books and records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Execute monthly accounting close activities and account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies Reconcile main operating bank account Prepare journal entries Work cross-functionally with and support our business partners by providing financial insights and relevant reporting Audit and prepare monthly/quarterly state sales and use tax reporting Assist with Annual 1099 reporting at the calendar year-end Maintain vendor master file and assign vendor codes Provide support and assist to Manager and Director of Accounting and to external auditors for the company year-end financial audit Collaborate with team and business partners on financial reporting enhancements Assist with the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and testing of internal controls related to GL accounts, reconciliation, and certification Responsible for projecting a positive image of AgReliant Genetics and act in accordance with the Company’s Core Values Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline required 1-3 years of general accounting experience preferred Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Experience in Concur and Microsoft Dynamics helpful, but not required

Thorough understanding of accounting Excellent oral and written communication skills Must have problem solving abilities Ability to effectively present information Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines and multitask Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced level in Excel Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
