Job Description

The Accountant II, Corporate Tax assembles, maintains, and analyzes domestic and/or international tax information used in the preparation of municipal, state, and federal tax returns for BOKF and its affiliates which may include primary responsibility for maintenance of tax reporting software and internal and external financial statements.  May include initial review of returns prepared by others and project management.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will manage tax records and reporting, including federal and state returns, business licenses, and tax liability estimates.

• You will prepare work papers for book/tax differences and maintain state distribution data.

• You will assist in preparing financial statements, calculating tax rates, and handling intercompany settlements and tax positions.

• You will develop and implement departmental policies, follow SOX controls, and participate in special projects.

• You will research tax laws, assist with compliance, state and local audits, and support various bank departments with tax-related queries.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree with 30+ hours of accounting and 2-4 years work related experience or 6-8 years equivalent work related experience.

• Beginning level of knowledge and understanding of municipal, state, and federal income tax laws and regulations

• Excellent math skills and ability to understand/calculate percentages and fractions

• Working knowledge and understanding of prevailing GAAP/ASC 740 

• Good organizational skills and the ability to work as a team to meet strict deadlines

• Good analytical, coping, and problem solving skills

• Good microcomputer application and spreadsheet software skills

• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
