Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role involves analyzing and processing complex accounting transactions, preparing reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to internal and external customers, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with team members to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiencies. Essential Duties Transaction Analysis and Recording: Review and analyze accounting transactions of varying complexity, computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to maintain accurate financial records aligned with company budgets. Customer Support and Training: Address complex or escalated inquiries related to accounts payable, general ledger transactions, and other accounting matters. Provide training to internal and external customers as needed. Reconciliation and Reporting: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled, discrepancies resolved, and reports finalized promptly. Compliance and Documentation: Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Update procedure documentation and safeguard sensitive and confidential information, data, and files. Customer Service: Serve as a resource for accounting-related inquiries from management, associates, and financial professionals. Supply requested financial information in a timely manner. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and lead efforts to implement enhancements that streamline processes. Research and Implementation: Research and recommend updates to procedures, implement new accounting standards, and adapt internal controls based on management direction. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Accounting Analyst team to identify and mitigate risks, develop solutions, and enhance processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and improve employee satisfaction. Education & Experience The ideal candidate would possess an intermediate level of experience, typically around 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related field. Compensation: $50,000-$60,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range.
